Rotating Ratchet Ring Unscrewing MoldsUnlike a traditional unscrewing mold where the core rotates and unscrews the cap off, the Rotating Ratchet Ring mold uses a rotating stripper to unscrew the part off of the stationary core. This allows for more cooling options and higher conductive materials to be used in the core, which results in a faster cycle time (up to 25% improvements). The ratcheting clutch feature allows the internal racks to reset after the mold has been closed which can save cycle time in presses that do not have the hydraulic capacity to close the mold and actuate the cylinders at the same time. The elimination of the O-rings, as on a conventional rotating core mold, reduces the maintenance time of replacing leaking O-rings.
